2011
  • Yoshitomo Takayama, the current president of Takayama Co. Ltd. started the wholesale distribution of charcoal and consumables at Nishitanaka in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.
  • Takayama went over to Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China alone and was engaged in the production of charcoal in these countries.
  • Takayama became a pioneer of Vietnam binchotan charcoal.
2012
  • Takayama Co. Ltd. was founded by Yoshitomo Takayama.
  • Transferred its distribution warehouse to the one of Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. located in Osawa, Miyagi Prefecture.
2013
  • Founded its fully owned charcoal factory each in Indonesia and Vietnam.
  • Developed Indonesia binchotan charcoal.
  • Equipped with its second distribution warehouse within Tsubame Express Co., Ltd.
  • Successfully expanded the sales channel with a newly tied-up factory for sawdust briquette charcoal in China.
2014
  • Achieved the goal of gaining 2,000 stores in total as its customers.
  • Made a business tie-up with the biggest factory for the sawdust briquette charcoal in Indonesia.
  • Built the new head office and the new distribution warehouse.
2015
  • Completed the construction of the head and sales office and the distribution warehouse.
  • Achieved the goal of gaining 3,000 restaurants in total as its customers.
  • Established the distribution system (through Yamato Transport Co., Ltd., Sagawa Express Co., Ltd. and Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd.).
  • Started an online ordering system.
  • Started the wholesale distribution of charcoal by container to the Korean market.
  • Made a business tie-up with charcoal wholesalers covering the areas of Hakata, Osaka, and Sapporo.
2016
  • Newly financed and made a business tie-up with two Vietnam binchotan charcoal factories.
  • Started to develop a new product with Vietnam binchotan charcoal.
  • Made a business tie-up with charcoal wholesalers covering the areas of Kanazawa, Okinawa, and Nagoya.
  • Made an inspection of a factory in Mongolia.
2017
  • Newly built the distribution warehouse on the grounds of the head office.
  • Started extension work of the head office.
  • Made business tie-up with charcoal wholesalers in Tokyo, Saitama, Ibaraki, Toyama, and Sapporo.
2018
  • Completed the construction of the second distribution warehouse on the grounds of the head office.
  • Completed extension work of the head office.
  • Achieved to gain 5,000 restaurants in total as its customers.
